 +=== Report ===
 +
 +With the hidden message of the Brighton P.I.s revealed ("6/6 11pm Dock 12"), Evelyn and Fred headed to the meeting while Augustus stayed behind as contingency. At Dock 12 they met a man named Bill, a member of Brighton explaining to them that the agency was a loosely connected network of mythos encounter survivors that with the common goal of limiting the impact magical events have on the regular world. Since the investigators had started to actively look into forgotten lore, they were scouted and offered to work with Brighton (see [[coc:prov:brighton|Brighton P.I.]]). As an act of good faith, Bill revealed that Brighton had been covering their tracks of the Lighthouse and Farm incidents. He also offered to take Ibnhotep's soup pot prison for safekeeping. After some discussion, Fred and Evelyn agreed to work with Brighton when future problems are at hand.
 +
 +July started and Providence's colleges entered the summer term, when Providence Journal reporter Rosalie McDoughan received an unexpected tip from fellow Brigthon member Andrew. The somewhat mysterious "Oracle" of the P.I.s had sensed a wide spread magic disturbance in the north-western part of Providence. Rosalie was sent to investigate together with the newly recruited members. Several rumors quickly lead them to Rhode Island College, where a new drug was supposedly making it's rounds. The Investigators split to cover a wide range of leads, from student gossip, speak-easy chatter, to insights of local faculty.
 +
 +Evelyn figured that there was a connection between the drug and a missing chemistry student that was supposed to work at her library over the summer. She soon found Walter Rezznik's haggard corpse at his dorm room, with a tongue colored black as tar and small vial of grayish liquid in his hand. After a quick search through the room, she took the vial before alerting the authorities to the situation.
 +
 +A chemical analysis of the liquid showed that it was a solution of 20% alcohol in water, with the gray color stemming from some organic matter. The black pigment in the solution appeared to be dead coagulated blood cells. Though, Evelyn was convinced she saw some of the cell clusters [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F__5LUF9E8I|move at least once]].
 +
 +Independence Day slowed down the investigation, but gave the group time to think about the next steps...
