Brighton Private Investigators
A rather secretive group of individuals from all walks of life with a common goal: to shield the general public from the influence of eldritch Entities. Members typically had prior contacts with the Mythos before they were recruited to join Brighton, though in extraordinary cases specialists are invited to join the cause. Upon recruitment, new members receive some help to cope with the realization that there are many “things” out there.
The P.I. business is a cover to allow members to get close to strange incidents without raising too much suspicion. The organization has some connections to PDs on the east coast, to disperse investigations into field P.I.s.
Member Responsibilities
Secrecy, the less the public knows the fewer complications may arise down the road. Take care to reveal as little information about Brighton and Mythos incidents as possible.
Elusiveness, incidents are (hopefully) rare and temporally distant. Maintain a regular occupation and keep your profile low, but be ready to join investigations on a short notice.
Vigilance, keep an eye out for incidents that might involve Eldritch Entities and contact Brighton when reasonable suspicion arises. The earlier we can intervene, the smaller the fallout.
Support, our ranks are limited and it is therefore imperative that we help each other with information, goods, and services in times of peril. You might be asked to hide eldritch artifacts passed on from other investigators, but can also pass on objects of your own.
Area of Operation
Brighton is mostly active in the North-east of the USA, but has connections to other organizations across the globe. Regular members are organized in cells around major cities and only know a handful of other investigators in person to protect the identities of informants and counteract infiltration.

Choose a regular monster type (e.g. Zombie) that you saw during that incident, no more SAN loss from just seeing that type.
Add 6 points to your Mythos skill.
Perform 3 skill improvements on skills of your choice (can be the same multiple times).
Roll Luck, on fail you gain an underlying insanity.
